Harry Houdini, Frank Sinatra and Julie Andrews all performed at the iconic Hippodrome on London’s Leicester Square, now home to one of the country’s largest casinos. It opened as a circus and variety theatre in 1900, and was owned by Peter Stringfellow in the 1980s. Founder and chief executive Simon Thomas, 53, leased the premises in 2009 and embarked on a £40m refurbishment. In 2012, he sold a minority stake to Pokerstars in a deal that valued the casino at £100m. It now has three gaming floors and seven bars, all of which helped boost profits in 2017 to £5.5m.

We want your visit to Magic Mike Live at The Hippodrome Casino to be extraordinary. Here’s our checklist to help make that happen.

Meeting place – have you arranged a convenient place to meet with friends before the start of the show? Why not get together within a few seconds walk of the Magic Mike Live theatre? Make sure you don’t miss a thing and don’t worry if some of your party runs a little late. We have excellent facilities for pre and post-theatre food and drink. Just follow this link for more details. Feel free to walk around, there’s plenty to explore and no membership is required.

Hippodrome Casino Poker

Best place for pre/post theatre dinner – The Heliot Steak House at The Hippodrome Casino, right by the Magic Mike Live theatre on our first floor, holder of three top awards for best steak restaurant in London. Come at least 90 minutes before show time for dinner. Reserve your table now.

Arrival – please aim to arrive at least 60 minutes before the start of the performance. The show will start promptly as advertised and we recommend you take your seats 15 minutes beforehand. The start of the show is simply too good to miss and you can always order a drink in the theatre and have it served to you at your seat.

Entrance – the best entrance to use is the Magic Mike entrance on Cranbourn Street but you can use any Hippodrome Casino entrance.

Access – if you require step-free access or additional support entering the venue we advise you to use the entrance on Little Newport Street where a dedicated host is able to assist.

Proof of age – The Hippodrome Casino is STRICTLY OVER 18s ONLY and valid photographic ID MUST be presented on arrival by all customers.

Box office – Our Box Office is currently working remotely and can be contacted here. They will re-open for in-person enquiries and ticket collection in 2021.

Bags – all bags will be checked as you arrive for you safety and security. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these checks take place.

Cloakrooms – we have complimentary cloakrooms available for coats and small bags. If you have large bags or suitcases, please arrange for them to be left elsewhere before your visit.

Magic Mike Live – the show runs for 90 minutes with no interval. Make sure you are ready to watch it all the way through – you don’t have to miss a thing.

Latecomers – if you arrive after the start of the show you will be admitted to the theatre at the discretion of venue management and at a suitable point in the show.

Theatre Food – no food is allowed in the theatre but there are a number of alternatives for you to eat before or after the show at The Hippodrome Casino. Drinks purchased in The Hippodrome Casino can be taken into the theatre. Drinks are also served in the theatre during the performance.
